Remuda Motoring offers full restoration services for the CJ-7 and CJ-8 Scrambler. We focus on perfecting the timeless aspects that Jeep had right from the beginning while improving the driving experience that was lacking from the factory. Additionally, we offer custom restoration services for select customer vehicles.
Remuda CJ Restoration Process
Chassis Refurbishment
Chassis are stripped to bare metal and protected against future corrosion. All critical systems & lines (brakes, fuel, etc.) are replaced with new. All suspension components (shocks, springs, bushings, joints) are replaced or upgraded. New hardware is used throughout.
Body, Paint & Protection
Original steel bodies are stripped to bare metal and repaired as needed (aluminum body optional). Corrosion protection is applied to all body components. Modern, two-stage paint is used to create a durable, lasting finish. Factory-correct replacement trim-level graphic decals are installed.
Drivetrain Upgrades
All powertrain components are thoroughly disassembled and rebuilt. Factory engines can be upgraded with electronic fuel injection and digital cooling fans. Optionally, modern replacement engines, transmissions, transfer cases, and axles can be retrofitted for additional power.
Interior & Electronics
Every interior surface is refinished or reupholstered using durable, high-quality materials. All gauges and stereo unit are replaced with new, reliable digital units that maintain an original look. A complete, new wiring harness is installed using new connectors, bulbs, fuses, etc.
